Single Accommodations:
A supplement must be added to cover hotel costs for those occupying a
single room because those rooming double are sharing the costs of the
room. Most hotels limit the number of single rooms so singles should always
make their reservations early. Reserving a single room does not assure
a seat alone on the motor coach. If you do not have a companion, but would
like to travel double basis, let us know, and we can try to find another
tour member also interested in double occupancy..
Price Fluctuations:
A Great Way to Charter, Tour and Travel, reserves the right to pass on
“fuel surcharges” as well as airfare increases and currency
fluctuations. Most taxes are already included in the basic cost of the
tour. However, the exceptions are the U.S. departure tax, federal inspection
fees and customs fees on international air tours. Departure taxes are
also required at some foreign airports. All taxes are subject to change.
Tipping: Though tipping is customary
on sightseeing tours, it should always be related to the service received.
About $3-$4 per day for the tour director and about $2-$3 per day for
the driver is the suggested amount. Tipping on most cruise ships is mandatory
with the amount varying according to the cruise line. While on tour, it
is important to remember to tip for coffee breaks and meals which you
are buying for yourself.
Passenger Health & Responsibilities: In order to
get full value from a travel experience, it is important to be in good
mental and physical health. Walking and sometimes step-climbing are necessary
to participate in the normal activities of any tour. Though we take good
care of you on a A Great Way to Charter, Tour and Travel, it is not possible
to provide individual assistance to a tour member for walking or other
personal needs. The passenger must assume responsibility for acceptable
patterns of behavior while traveling with A Great Way to Charter, Tour
and Travel. Right is reserved to decline any person, even after the tour
is in progress. Should it be necessary for a tour member to return home,
this expense is the responsibility of the tour member.
Conditions: A Great Way to Charter, Tour and Travel
acts solely as agent in arranging hotels, transportation, sightseeing,
baggage-handling. And other services, and does not assume any liability
for injury, damage, loss or delay due to any act or default of any other
company or person. A Great Way to Charter, Tour and Travel reserves the
right to re-route the itinerary or make substitutions equal in value,
should conditions warrant such changes. Hotels are always subject to change
to those of a similar quality. Right is reserved until three weeks before
departure to cancel any tour which drops below the minimum operating number.
Revision fees
A fee of $30 per transaction will be charged for any alteration or revision
made to a reservation. Airline penalties may also apply. A change of traveler
name, vacation date or itinerary within 45 days of commencement of services
will be treated as a cancellation and new reservation; standard cancellation
fees apply.
Travelers who need special assistance
You must report any disability requiring special attention to A Great
Way to Charter, Tour and Travel at the time the reservation is made. A
Great Way to Charter, Tour and Travel will make reasonable attempts to
accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but is not responsible
in the event it is unable to do so, nor is it responsible for any denial
of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers.
Be aware that outside the U.S. the Americans with Disabilities Act is
not applicable and facilities for disabled individuals are limited. Most
transportation services, including the touring motor coach, are not equipped
with wheelchair ramps. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance
to a vacation participant for walking, dining, getting on and off motor
coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically
able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance, and
must assume full responsibility for their well being and pay the full
amount of the tour. Motorized scooters are unsuitable for A Great Way
to Charter, Tour and Travel vacations.
Young travelers
Travelers who are less than 18 years old on the departure date must be
accompanied by an adult. Children receive a 10% discount on the land price.
We do not accept children who are less than eight years.
Due to heightened security, many countries have adopted
practices to prevent international abductions of children. If a child
will be traveling with adults other than the parents or with only one
parent, it is recommended that a notarized letter be written by the parents
or non-traveling parent granting authorization to travel, including the
dates of travel. We suggest that you also contact the appropriate consulate
and airlines because they may have additional requirements.
Accommodations
The accommodations listed on this Web site are intended to be used on
all departures; however, if a change becomes necessary for any reason,
the accommodations substituted will be equivalent in standard to those
shown. Every effort is made to reserve only twin-bedded rooms. It may
occasionally happen that an accommodation provides some double-bedded
rooms instead. These rooms will be allocated to couples.
Please note that accommodation check-in times vary worldwide.
Baggage allowance
Porterage for one suitcase is included in the vacation price. Airport
porterage at the beginning and end of the vacation is not included. Due
to limited coach capacity, this single bag should have dimensions not
exceeding 30"x21"x11" and weight not exceeding 50 lbs.
(22kg) or less if your air carrier has stricter weight/dimension limitations.
We regret we are unable to accept a second suitcase or any luggage exceeding
these limits. We recommend you consult your air carrier as size and weight
limitations vary from airline to airline and even according to destination,
and are becoming more restrictive. A Great Way to Charter, Tour and Travel
is not responsible for additional fees imposed by air carriers. Regulations
within most airports require that travelers handle their own luggage through
customs.
Carry-on bags should not exceed the dimensions of 12"x11"x6".
For safety reasons, wheeled carry-on bags are not suitable
as hand luggage on motor coaches and mini-buses.
Not Included in Tour Price:
Meals and tips other than those specified in the itinerary, maids, waitresses,
valet and laundry service, phone calls, room service, alcoholic beverages,
and items of a personal nature. Gratuities for cruises, local guides,
and tour director and driver are not included. Any gratuities are strictly
voluntary and should be done on an individual basis, not as a group.
Roommates:
Each person making a reservation is responsible for finding his or her
own roommate. When confirming your reservation for a tour, you should
inform us if you have a roommate. A Great Way to Charter, Tour and Travel’s
policy does not permit adults of the opposite sex, who are not married
or related, to room together on a tour. Persons making a reservation without
a designated roommate will be billed at the single rate. If either you
or A Great Way to Charter, Tour and Travel’s finds an acceptable
person to share room costs, the cost of the tour will be reduced to the
double rate and monies, if due, will be refunded to you. If a single room
must be assigned because your roommate cancels (even at the last moment
or while on tour), we must, of necessity, charge you the additional cost
since the hotels make no allowances. If you prefer to have the privacy
of your own room, you may do so for an additional charge as noted in our
single price. The single rate applies to rooms only and does not include
two seats on the motor coach.
Medicines:
If you are taking prescription drugs, be sure to take enough to last the
duration of the tour. Sometimes it is very difficult to get a prescription
filled while en route. We highly recommend that you carry all medications
in your purse, pocket, or in your personal carryon, not in your suitcase.
It would be wise to have in your possession a list of all medications
you are currently taking in case of an emergency. The coaches are not
equipped to store medications that need refrigeration.
Seat Rotation:
In order that everyone can enjoy a variety of views and have exposure
to meeting other people on the tours, we rotate seats daily in a clockwise
direction on all multiple-day trips. One of the front seats is reserved
for the tour director and will not rotate. In order not to show partiality
among passengers, there can be no exceptions to our seating plan.
Waiting Lists:
We take waiting lists on all tours, since we do have frequent cancellations.
If the tour you request is filled, then we recommend that you sign up
as a stand-by. You will then be placed on our waiting list, and as soon
as a vacancy occurs, you will be automatically placed and notified that
you are confirmed on the tour. All vacancies will be filled from the waiting
list in the date order in which they were received.
A Great Way to Charter, Tour and Travel, reserves the
right to make changes in the itinerary or tour arrangements at any time,
due to emergency or other unknown situations. If A Great Way to Charter,
Tour and Travel cancels a tour, it shall have no responsibility to participants
beyond the refund of the monies paid to A Great Way to Charter, Tour and
Travel by the participants. In case of events beyond our control, including
but not limited to strikes, lockouts, revolts, wars, natural disasters,
fires, closures of airports or hotels, or technical problems of transport,
which force us to cancel the tour you have booked, you will be entitled
to a full refund minus reasonable expenses for services performed. In
any of the above cases, A Great Way to Charter, Tour and Travel shall
not be under any other obligation of liability to participants. We reserve
the right to accept or decline any person as a member of any tour at any
time.
